So Twitter is less than one-tenth the company Facebook was when it went public, in terms of sales. It’s less than one-third the company Facebook was in terms of users, claiming 218 million monthlies. And it’s infinitely worse from a bottom-line perspective, since it’s still losing money, $79 million last year. The silver lining there is that losses narrowed between 2011 and 2012. But sadly, they widened this year, by 41 percent in the first six months.
