This cake-slice-shaped contemporary hotel between Covent Garden and the Thames is an inspired choice for those visiting London for ‘the arts’. Not only is it a short and glorious stroll across Waterloo Bridge to the National Theatre, the National Film Theatre, the Royal Festival Hall and the Hayward Gallery, it is even closer to a string of West End theatres and, most relevantly, the Royal Opera House and the London Coliseum, where most of London’s best ballet is performed.
